With regards to supplements, Chew believes patients should only be recommended specific eye supplements when their eye exams shows signs of yellow spots known as drusen which is one of the most common signs of AMD.

Yellow spots are amongst the first signs that you’re developing AMD and in that case, eye supplements can help curb the disease from developing further.
