It is often hard for people, with their tough schedules, to follow a strict routine and consume all the food items required to provide the body with the essential nutrients every day.
Fruits are one such food segment. But the good news is that you can now enjoy those fruits in the form of delicious herbal tea recipes coupled with many other amazing ingredients. Be it apple or strawberry; you can quickly whip them up in a hot concoction and sip away to your heart’s content.
Here are some of our daily favorite herbal fruit tea infusions we just get enough of.
Cranberry and ginger – the ultimate body cleanser
If your taste buds have been craving for something tangy with a kick of juicy sweetness, cranberry and ginger herbal tea is what you need. This fruit tea infusion is the perfect blend of sweet and pungent with that extra bit of spice, just enough to take your taste buds on a rollercoaster ride. It is the ultimate detox beverage that will cleanse your entire system and renew your liver from the inside out.
To brew the most delicious ginger and cranberry tea infusion, all you require is boiling water, tea bags of your favorite white or green tea, some thin slices of fresh ginger and a cup of cranberry sauce or juice.
Heat the water on the stove and remove it once it’s boiled. Add the tea bags and sliced ginger to the hot water and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Remove the tea bags and ginger, and slowly stir in the cranberry juice or sauce in the mixture until thoroughly mixed. Serve hot or cold, as per your liking. Add in a few drops of lemon or honey to increase the flavor.
Raspberry leaf and lemon- the ideal blend of flavour and health
Contrary to popular belief, not everything healthy is tasteless. Ever tried a steaming cup of raspberry leaf and lemon infused tea?
It is packed with flavor, and as soon as you take that first sip, you get this great zesty kick from the lemon which is not too overpowering because immediately after, the sweetness of the raspberry takes over everything, leaving a delicious aftertaste in your mouth.
Along with the tantalizing aroma, this concoction also provides an abundance of essential minerals and vitamins like magnesium, potassium, and iron which are vital for a well-functioning body.
To make this flavorful fruity infusion, you need to heat a cup of water on the stove and bring it to boil. Remove the water from the heat once it starts simmering and adds your favorite tea bags to it. Let the mixture sit for a while and then remove the teabags.
Next, add some honey, fresh lemon juice and a handful of raspberries to the mix and keep stirring for a while. Once the raspberries start losing their fluid and color, run the mixture through a strainer. Pour it into a tall glass and serve chilled over ice.
Rosehip – your shield against all illnesses
If the rose smells so good, imagine how delicious its fruits must be. Made from crushed and dried rosehip, a daily cup of rosehip infused herbal tea is your gateway to excellent health because its health benefits are uncountable.
Some of its top benefits include detoxification of the body, strengthening of the immune system, protection against cancer, a reduced risk of heart diseases and so much more. Added to that, it has a very distinct sour and tangy flavor with a faintly floral taste. An absolute treat for your tastebuds!
While the process of making rosehip fruit tea can be a little complicated, it is nothing impossible. All you need is filtered water, whole dried rosehip, and a few spearmint or peppermint leaves to add a sweet element to your herbal infusion.
Put together crushed rosehip and water in a pot over the stove and let it boil. Allow the mixture to simmer once it has boiled and then let it sit for the next few minutes. Turn off the heat, add the peppermint or spearmint leaves and enjoy a delicious cup of rosehip tea. Add a few drops of honey if you feel the taste is too sour.
Apple and cinnamon – the perfect combination of sweet and spicy
As clichéd as it may sound, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. However, if you are one of those who cannot stand the idea of eating whole fruits, try brewing it into a tasty combination of the spicy cinnamon.
Apple and cinnamon is the ultimate combination of spicy and sweet and one of our absolute favorites! Once that pungent smell of the cinnamon combines with that of the juicy apples, you will feel your mouth begin to water.
As amazing as the combination sounds, it is also super easy to execute. Like any other herbal tea, you need water along with a sliced apple, green tea, a small cinnamon stick, lemon juice and honey.
Combine water, sliced apples, and green tea in a pan and bring to a boil. Cover the mixture and let it simmer for a few minutes. Strain it once it’s off the heat, add a few drops of lemon juice and honey to balance out the sweet, sour and spicy. Serve hot or cold as per your liking!
Once you taste each of these wonderful infusions, the chances are that you will be craving for more and even better combinations of fruit teas. You might as well end up getting a herbal fruit tea sampler for yourself so you can have a bit of everything!
You can also tweak the original combinations and create a custom personal favorite. Once you do that, make sure to have a cup of your favorite herbal fruit tea daily for its health benefits and awesome flavors.
