Question: Hi! I’m having a really hard time losing weight. We eat pretty healthy, lots of veggies & chicken. Cut out soda, upped the water intake. When we have bread with a meal I gain 3 pounds! I don’t understand what’s going on with my body. Two dinner rolls shouldn’t be doing this. HELP!!

Hi Liz, It sounds like you have a good plan in place for losing weight. I would start by getting tested for a gluten intolerance or celiac disease to determine if the rolls are the culprits. You could also be eating too little or too many calories – butter, sauces, and condiments count! There are plenty of free calorie counters available online and tracking your meals would be a great start. Buddha’s Herbs also has products available to help stimulate a sluggish metabolism.
